OOS women tend to marry their boyfriends and go back to their home state. They're not around when the chapter needs advisors, and their daughters are less likely to come to Alabama. Alabama members tend to marry and stay in-state. They might be close enough to serve as alumnae advisers to one of the 3 chapters in Alabama, and they're more likely to send their daughters to Alabama chapters.
