Every sorority has their own protocol and process, so you would need to contact the UA chapter of your sorority to find out. Personally, I would wait several weeks and get to know the girls. Each chapter has its own personality. If you affiliate and hate it, your only recourse would be to resign the sorority. You might think about waiting, getting settled in your room/apartment, get used to classes etc., before affiliating.
