Does not mean much except for the weaker houses who can still claim that status. Standards is a voting process by your piers. If a member of the house does not like something you do or say they can submit you to standards. Like looking out for each other so noone gets out if hand. Then you go to a meeting with your advisor and an elected group of your piers. You all talk about what you did. So make sure you choose wisely if you pick a house that is judgmental it could be a nightmare. All houses have some sort of standards process.
