You can't go stay with friends who are studying abroad, those people are in academic programs with housing allocated for them. They are students in school, not hanging around on their own in Spain and Italy 'studying abroad'. The ignorance about actual college life from outsiders is astounding. There is a small percentage of girls going to Europe with their families. The families have the money. The ones stand out that WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT IT! The vast majority are going back home for break, or to the beach.
