<strong>Subject:</strong><br />Top Houses at UA<br /><br /> Poster Message:
Everyone comes on here and argues about what the top houses are. And everyone is going to have a different opinion. And at the end of the day the opinions don’t matter. The most objective way to determine “top” houses is through retention. Which houses have the most girls that enjoy their experience enough to stay? Naturally, the houses with the highest retention are going to be the old row houses. This is not to say that houses like pi phi and zeta aren’t highly sought after during rush because they are, but they are also filled with OOS girls who are naturally more likely to transfer out of UA than old row houses that are filled with in-state, in-region girls who won’t as likely. In state girls typically go old row, not all of them but it’s just tradition—they’re often legacies. Now, within the old row houses you can argue one is better than another depending on who you are and what you want out of your college experience. If you wanna be a capstone woman maybe go AGD, if you wanna party maybe go Kappa. But all of these houses with high retention are going to be able to do the most for their members. More money coming in = more resources for the chapter. Zeta and pi phi are great houses too, but they just don’t have some of the tradition that the old row houses do and just have more transfer risks with OOR girls. Great houses, it’s just how it is.
