Them getting their permanent house isn’t gonna change anything about their rankings, no matter how big or nice the house is. People don’t understand that it’s very difficult to climb tiers in the Bama Greek system and it doesn’t happen over night, it can take almost 20 years. Take Phi Mu for example, they used to be where DG or Pi phi was ranked now. Middle tier. They became old row, and changed the type of girls they recruited and that’s how they moved up in status. It took time, but that’s what they did over the course of the 90s and ‘00s making them a top house by the 2010s. GPhi is another house. Just 10 years ago they were synonymous with theta. They only moved up ranks 2 to 3 years ago. And still that’s only a slight move. They moved from being completely bottom tier to top of bottom to lower mid tier. They did this by completely changing to the type of girls they recruited. Look at their insta and it’s a nice and day difference from where they used to be and where they are now. Gphi got a completely new house in 2013/2014 (which is also the largest in the nation) and they were still bottom of bottom tier until 2022. All that is to say, SK is gonna be where they’re at now for a while and a new house won’t change that. If they want to climb tiers they have to change the aesthetic that they’re recruiting.
