Love this! This was written by an Active that actually goes here! I also like the bit about the rules. So many PNMs think they are better than the rules. They then complain on social media, etc. Get over yourselves, you aren't better than your new house or sisters. I'd also say that if you get a bid from a house you didn't want, give it your best. I got my 3rd choice (yep, I was dropped by my top 2 before preference round) and I accepted the bid. Bid day was awkward because I was trying not to cry but the new member retreat was super fun and I made a lot of great friends. I had a great freshman year. I'm thankful I didn't get my top two choices- nothing wrong with either house but I ended up where I belonged. I'm starting my junior year and love my house and so excited to recruit new members. You all will be fine IF you have an open mind.
