COB happens no matter what. Total is set at the mean chapter size. If your chapter is under that number you can issue bids up to that number. COB is never a fiasco. And there will always be a place for women to join outside of formal recruitment. It is a great way to join a sorority for women don’t have connections, maybe introverts or have a lower GPA. It is informal and a chance to really get know chapters and their members without the pressure and expense. This comment also proves some people have no idea how Greek life works. Even current sorority members sometimes are clueless.
