No, one recruitment. Old Row are the older, more prestigious houses on campus. It was been around since the 1950s and started as the 6 original fraternities on campus. As more frats started chapters, there houses were built on Jefferson Avenue, and became known as the “new fraternity row.” The original 6 fraternities invited their 6 favorite sororities, all of which had been on campus since the 1920s/1930s: -Alpha Chi -Alpha Gam -Chi O -Tri Delt -Kappa -KD Phi Mu was invited to join in the 90s after they tried to cross the Machine (Google “Machine Alabama”). They were extended an invitation out of sympathy. The main difference is Old Row houses tend to be old money, well-connected, and are the most desirable houses during rush (for fraternities and sororities). They are also more involved in campus politics and have more power in the Machine and more prestige on campus. That’s why the original 6 don’t go overboard on TikTok like Zeta and Phi Mu do. They don’t have to because they will get the top girls regardless.
