It really depends on the house and her relationship with the members. Making friends is always helpful, but it may not give someone a good chance. If those friends are able to convince others that they need this girl, then sure. But a lot of stuff plays into that--the girl needs to have a competitive package and needs to have influential friends. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just saying that it's complicated and keep realistic expectations. I've seen sisters in my house fight for girls who were ultimately not offered bids to my chapter for various reasons.
