No, a computer does not do the cutting. Chapters will be given “release numbers” based on their historical rush performance. They will submit a list of PNM’s for release based on the computer program’s recommended cut number for that round. Whether everyone in the chapter knows who is on the release list or just the rush team / Exec board depends on each sorority’s own membership selection process. Then the computer creates each PNM’s party list for the next round based on pnm rankings + the chapters who invited them back. If more chapters invited the pnm back than there are parties in the next round, the PNM’s rankings come into play.
