Subject:
PNMs -- ranking on greek rank

Poster Message:
PNMs - if you're on here to see which houses are popular, you're still not going to know anything when you're done. In fact, you may have a completely mixed up version of the facts. The truth is that you should go through recruitment and find a house that feels good to you. One where you like the girls and they like you. It doesn't matter if they are ranked high or low on greekrank because these ranks depend on so much. Everyone moves their own house up when they post a rank. The houses toward the bottom don't bother with greek rank because they are too classy. The ones on the top don't either (also classy) but other people who think those houses are good put them there so people witll respect the rank of the houses below. As to the differences in ranks, that's easy. If you're from Alabama or a bordering state, you're probably going to rank the OR houses higher because those are the ones you know the best. Your mom, grandma and their friends are members of those houses. If you're from outside of this narrow range, a NR house will probably be ranked higher because you think the OR houses are kind of boring, over evangelical and full of cliques. The OR houses are ones that are popular in Alabama, but if you don't plan to live here, know that these houses are the dregs of other universities around the country. If you plan to live here, that doesn't matter so much. I'm from OOS and the top couple of houses at Bama were thrown out of my state university because they couldn't recruit enough girls to even keep going. All goes to show you why you shouldn't get your information off this site. See you soon!
