Something something bootstraps!” Do you not come in here and tell me that recs are not required when literally any parent group with girls going to Bama or any other competitive recruitment school says you need to have them. On the Bama Panhellenic website they say they aren’t required, but we all know we drop a girl without 1 (or if she’s your best girl from HS then you make it work to magically get her one.) Just because it didn’t affect you doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect other people. And your lack of willingness to dismantle the structures will ultimately be your downfall and one day there will be no more Panhellenic sororities for people to join.
