Maybe because there’s a lot more to the story. It happened during rush and gphis advisor did not allow them to drop her. In my sorority you can’t go back on a decision that has already been made for a particular situation (basically like double jeopardy in real life) and I would assume it’s the same in gphi. It’s possible she’s been a good member and hasn’t done anything else to get kicked out. For what it’s worth they got a new advisor after rush.
