Sororities are allowed to comment, dm, and follow pnms before rush. After no contact they can follow but not comment or dm. They do this to get you more interested in their house, and to help get you thinking about them before rush as well as for some houses show their interest. Most girls go into rush with 3-10 houses they are more interested in based off of what they heard, interest, who they know, etc. The idea is to be a house top PNMs want.
