There have been black frat presidents (well, one, Jared Hunter from Theta Chi) and there are black men in frats. Obviously, it's Alabama so there are some ignorant people in some frats but it's usually never the ones you'd expect (southern men are more polite, northern men here can be weird). But no, if you rush you'll find your place, no matter what anyone says the moment you walk into a house and get a bid, all you have to do is find the brothers you want to be your friends and you'll be good.
