What Srat Girl said, above. She's right. You MIGHT get some invitations back...maybe you're good in sports and that house wants to do better in intramurals. Be realistic - your choices will be limited....in fact, with a 2.8, you may well get no invitations back. While a 3.0 may be the recommended floor, the truth is most groups have individual floors that are way above that - 3.2 to 3.8, even. But there are LOTS of other groups to get involved in. Plus you may do much better in college and could go through as a sophomore. Generally the grade floors for sophomores is a little lower than 3.0, because you'll have a proven college record by then.
