This is pretty accurate, particularly as you get older and junior and senior years. Freshman year, after recruitment and in the dorms, there may be more comparisons. But it’s more like - there is this girl on my floor and she and/or her friends are in house XYZ, and here’s what I think about them. But your life pretty quickly becomes about the house you’re in, your pledge class, and specifically the smaller groups of friends you’re making within. You hang out at fraternity is where your boyfriend or your friends boyfriends are members, etc. If people think that by joining a certain house, their life is going to automatically be wonderful- with Great grades, desirable boyfriend’s, inclusion in extracurriculars, a great social life and style through association - they are sadly mistaken. That takes effort no matter what house. And with that effort and skill, is achievable in any house!
