You obviously can’t attach links in greekrank but a quick google search for “Alpha phi Michigan rush chair scandal” will bring up several articles. I personally wouldn’t call it national news, but the article in the University of Michigan newspaper details how this whole thing originally was brought to light. Former Michigan alpha phi rush chair created an entire website about it. “Unnamed” sorority but of course everyone knew who she was talking about.
