If you decline the bid, you're still bound to it for a year, meaning you aren't eligible for snaps, COB or spring rush. Might as well give it a try! Another thing -- listing them is your indication to the sorority that you'd accept a bid. If you decline it, you will have caused them to waste it. Worse, you'll have caused another girl not to get a bid from them, and she might have really, really wanted it. Turning down a bid you indicated you'd take isn't going to help you if you rush again. Sorority members have friends in other chapters,and the Panhellenic community is smaller than some think when it comes to word getting around about things. You don't want to be a PNM the sororities know rushed before and caused one to waste a bid. Plenty of girls have taken bids to houses they didn't think they'd like, only to find out they really didn't like them. The LOVED them and can't believe they ever thought they'd be happier somewhere else. Don't walk away -- you've got nothing to gain if you do, but probably a lot to lose. You might have a lot to gain by taking it, so go let yourself be welcomed and loved by a couple of hundred girls who really want you!!!!
