I encourage all yall to keep an open mind. I got back my first choice and my last choice too. My first choice made me think that I had a lock on a bid but I put both to make sure. I got my last choice. At the time I was devastated. I ended up accepting the bid and deciding to see what it was like. My mom reminded me that I wasn't a quitter and that I'd started recruitment because I wanted to be in a sorority. I can honestly say that I love my house now and that I've had so many leadership and other opportunities that I wouldn't have had in my first choice house. Did it sting? You bet it did, but now I'm happy because I now that this is where I can shine. I think I've improved things for my house and am so glad my mother pushed me into making the best of it. Just a note. Of the people I knew that dropped out of recruitment or refused a bid, thinking that they'd get something they liked better later, only one did. Most didn't get a house at all ever. That's not terrible, of course, but it you want to be in a house, this is your best opportunity.
