Every town/state has some loosely understood “List “ of places that old money, influencers, socially active, wealthy, and social climbers ( with a lot more of the latter than the former ) want to be. The list includes the obvious and the obscure, from schools to churches, and country clubs to where you get your hair done, and who does your taxes. Some Greek organizations are on this “list ”, not surprising. To the insiders and those who observe and aspire, it is just taken for granted this is where one MUST be. And within the bubble of this existence, these people take great pride in their association. These things do change over time however. Take your local Episcopal Church for example. Yes, a few old school families are still attending, but not the epitome of insiders it used to be for sure. Time will tell KD and Kappa. But I think attendance is trending down. \n\n\n\n\n
