Maybe that is sort of true now, but changes are coming to this school rocket fast (compared to most others). Bama is one of the fastest growing colleges in the US. Their percentage of acceptances is dropping more and more each year. They definitely are attracting very high quality students here who do love it here snd do find challenges and opportunities. Bama is dedicated continue following this track, so as their applications rise, quality of student rise, acceptances will go down significantly and Bama will Be know for what it really is... a wonderful college that turns our academically and docially well rounded graduates. Academics in sororitys is competitive. Just go to the grade reports and see the grades pulled down by these fantastic women. Not only are they smart, but they have great social skills. Not so at many other schools.
