The chapter didn't initiate their NMs before national announced the closing—they were offered the choice to be initiated or released. I agree that Theta national didn't have to shut them down, but to their credit they also didn't put the actives on alumnae status. They're eligible to affiliate with another chapter if they choose to transfer. And I wouldn't blame them if they did.
