I think the answer you are looking for is which state's culture is so ingrained with pledging certain sororities. I am not making a distinction of which state is worse, but clearly there are geographic locations in all southern states where girls are brainwashed into believing they have to pledge a certain sorority or they will be an outcast. Because of that along with quotas it is so competitive to get a bid from certain houses. A quality pnm will get a bid from a sorority maybe just not from one they have been brainwashed into believing is a top sorority.
