I agree. I joined a house that is not known for academic achievement, thinking that I’d find a group of friends to go to the library with and the overall rep of the house wouldn’t affect me. I did find the other studious girls in my house, but I really underestimated the apathy the majority of my house has towards grades and school in general. It’s extremely embarrassing every time the grade report comes out and we are near the bottom and no one cares and then we still keep recruiting girls with bad GPAs. Make sure you are joining a house that really aligns with what’s important to you.
