As much as it can appear from the outside that certain houses are more sisterly than others, any commenter can only speak from their individual experience in their house and certainly not on the sisterhood of other houses. There are girls who feel excluded and unwelcome in every sorority (certainly not the majority). Especially freshman year, when your friend group isn’t set in stone and you’re just forming connections— girls tend to either complain to others about their house during this time, or put on a front that their house is the best and most welcoming on the row. Either way, the majority of us took a little bit of time to really feel comfortable and truly embrace the sisterhood. Most girls find a wonderful support system in their house. For what it’s worth, I’m in a house that is criticized a decent bit about our sisterhood, but I have found my home away from home.
