One Opinion. Connections is the key and if you have strong enough connections, stuff lower in priority is almost inconsequential unless there is a reputation issue or you clearly don’t fit based on appearance/extracurricular/convos. Test scores are not so key, but GPA is a big cut in first round. More and more even middle academic houses and lower academic houses are coming out with mandatory cuts around 3.5ish.
