If you want a good recruitment, practice conversations. If you are a joy to talk to ( you smile at appropriate times, you have good things to say, your breath smells like nothing or is minty), you will leave a good impression. It comes naturally to some girls; other girls might have to work for it. Nothing is worse than being with someone, either an active talking to a PNM or vise-versa, that cannot hold a conversation. Sometimes the active might be fighting off being sick ( workshops and rounds take a toll on actives- cut us some slack), so you might have to ask questions or show interest in us/ carry a lot of the conversation load. Some of the best conversations I had was with a “lower-tier” house, so remember you are looking for sisters. I ended up in a “top-tier” OR house, but it was because I loved it there and had an amazing time, not because of status ( I’m out-of-state, do it truly did not matter that much to me). I had some of my worst experiences at other OR houses that kept me around through sisterhood for who knows why ( my grades? Because I was a legacy that they wanted to “steal”?). Don’t get too caught up in the tier thing. Go where you belong or fit and you’ll be much happier.
