I agree it’s really personal, and maybe from the OP’s Alabama hometown they see it this way, but as an out of state student, this was not my experience. I’m from a big city out of state and some of the OR houses that are high on your list seemed very “Alabama” to me and didn’t interest me at all. Most out of state girls in my rho chi felt the same.
