I know that was an emotional story to tell but I'm glad you did. PNMs do need to know that their options are best the first time they go through as a freshman. Most sophomores are happy to get any bid and many don't. I, too, love being a part of a sorority and wouldn't take this experience for anything. I honestly think I could be happy in any house at Alabama because they all have lots of girls with many different personalities. I'm not best friends will all the girls in the house or even in my class. But I do have a core of friends that I'm sure I'll still be getting together with when we're in the nursing home! ha ha! I'm firmly convinced that you can find that level of friendship in any house. You just have to let go of the rumors and gossip you hear ahead of time about which are the good houses, the old row houses, the first circle, the best of the new row, etc. Just look for that one house that loves you the most.
