I remember being overwhelmed during recruitment. There was so much going on, so many people, the parties were so short, and there was so much talk (gossip and opinion) between and after parties. I was just completely numb sometimes. When it got to pref I had one house that I didn't like as well and I was afraid of them because they were not ranked as high as my other choices had been. I still listed them but last. Of course, that's what I got. I cried and my mom told me I should have ISPed. But I gave it a try and this is the good part. I actually love my house now. I know it sounds completely cheesy but my sisters are such a blessing! They were so happy that I wanted to be a part of the house and they made me feel at home there. I can honestly say I'm glad I didn't ISp. Most of the girls that get eliminated because they ISP never end up in a house at all. The houses that didn't want them as freshmen, want them as sophomores even less. And yes, a very few snap bids are given out but they mostly go to cut legacies or people the girls in the house already know but had to cut for lower grades or something. No one cut as a freshman just goes through rush again and get the house of their dreams. Anyway, it's just something to think about.
