A lot of “upper tier houses” have around a 3.2 minimum gpa and it doesn’t matter who you are they won’t take you. Of course all houses are good in their own way, but if your heart is set on an “old townhouse” then wait until sophomore year to rush. I don’t recommend spring rush at all bc very very few houses take girls in at that time. I know a lot of sophomores who waited to rush and were so happy they did but I also know a bunch of girls that had lower gpas that are super happy in their house. Also check the UA Panhellenic page for all the houses gpa minimums.
