Let me tell you my rush experience last year. 2.8 gpa, pretty and good social media, involved in high school, no recs, far oos, no connections, winged it. It is ALL ABOUT YOUR IMPRESSIONS. Trust me when I say this! I was petrified after IWTs that I would get that call from my rho chi saying I was dropped... come to find out I got asked back to 8/12 houses! (and two of those were old row!) I was left with 5 going into sisterhood which is close to a full card. I had more houses than girls with 3.8s and recs. Come pref voting, I was left with 2 houses I loved and 3 I hated. It broke my heart when I got back my bottom 2 houses for pref. I withdrew from rush. Point of the matter is, I got all the way through to pref and I could have gotten a bid on bid day if I wanted to! I ended up COBing a house that dropped me early in the week and I love it there now, but I am sad I missed out on running home. If you want to rush, do it. Its all about the impressions you make. If you’re a good conversationalist, you sound decently pretty, and you were involved, then you have a good shot at getting a house. I should probably note that other girls I know in my similar situation got back a much smaller number of houses than me after IWTs. Good luck!
