Please don’t pay attention to tiers and OR / NR when deciding about rush. Tiers are very subjective and you will decide what is a good fit for you when rush starts. Example: PM is a great sorority here but not my kind of people. Maybe I cut them or maybe they cut me, won’t ever know and it doesn’t matter because it wasn’t where I belonged. Same could be said for a girl on my hall who thought the OR sororities were filled with too many rednecks. (Hilarious and a tad insulting, haha) but she’s not from the south and she didn’t feel at home there. If you truly pick the sorority where you feel welcome and enjoy the people, then you will have joined a “top” sorority. Believe it or not, everyone has their own “top” list when rush is over and most girls who choose for the right reasons, have a great experience.
