DZ is affiliated and theta received an invite years ago that they chose not to accept. It shouldn’t be a surprise that these houses are involved, the machine needs as many voters as possible. It’s not about popularity at this point it’s just a numbers game. As for SK, it just depends on their nationals which I don’t really know anything about. They could be like GPhi’s nationals, who were more than willing to let them join to get them out of the rut, or they could be reluctant. Would probably be better for their rep to join but who knows.
