I saw the candidates for HC Queen and one stood out to me for appearance, platform and general involvement. She is not the machine backed candidate and it is very concerning to me that the most qualified likely won’t win. So my question is : who is counting the votes and can a non-machine candidate ever really win? What is the mentality of this school that people vote for who the machine tells them? I don’t get it obviously.
