Honestly I think it has pretty minimal relation to sisterhood. For in state girls, dropping not only impacts their life on campus, but will still be a factor when they move home. It also matters more to their family (many of whom are in house legacies) that they remain a part of the house. Lots of OOS girls come to Alabama and realize that the school and the south are not a good fit or that they are too far from home. Many NR houses also have lower grades and girls who love the school and their house leave because they are terrible students. For OOS girls who don’t need the status of their house when they graduate, girls who have all their friends and aren’t as invested in the house might drop to save a couple thousand extra bucks even when they’ve had a great time in the house
