Poster Name:Nursing Sorority
Poster Message:
The GPA of each sorority isn't really a good indicator of which one is the most academic. All will try and take high stat girls to off set their low gpa girls. Fashion merchandising majors, communications... are a bit easier than pre med or nursing majors. When going through recruitment ask if they have nursing majors. Many will introduce you to nursing students. Ask how many upper division nursing students they have. Just because girls are nursing majors doesn't mean they are good students and will get accepted to the upper division. If they have girls in the upper division, then you will know it is a good fit. I know girls who are in higher gpa sororities as well as lower gpa sororities in the upper division. I know girls who are in higher gpa as well as lower gpa sororities who had to transfer or change their major because they couldn't get in. Only a few that you should stay away from, Alpha Phi-not the brightest, KKG &KD big partiers. All the rest, are fine. Keep in mind there isn't that much of a difference between a 3.2 and 3.5 when you're talking college. One bad student can ruin a sororities gpa, while a sorority full of easy majors can seem like they are really studious. The above poster who said AXO, XO and ADPi is full of it. I know girls from ADPi who skipped classes and didn't make it in the nursing program. I know lots of girls from AOPi, DZ,Alpha Gam...& Theta who are in upper division! Sounds to me like an ADPi tooting their horn again.
