We can't tell you if it would be worth it for you. Only you can decide that. One thing to remember is that you get out of it what you put into it. If you're only at the house for meals and just the required stuff, you won't get much out. You need to be there to get to know the girls, do thing with them, go to the socials, participate in the work as well as the fun stuff. You won't have a houseful of BFFs right away. That takes time and shared experiences. Talk to some more friends who are in sororities. Even older ladies who have been out of school for years. Ask the women who write recs for you. You can always pledge and drop before initiation. SDT and ADX are also possibilities - they do not own houses so their costs are a lot less. This year SDT will participate in the first two days of recruitment and then withdraw. Their recruitment is a little later and more casual. They are WAY smaller (25 to 50 members instead of 250 to 300). There might be a multicultural sorority, too, and I think there's a Latina sorority.
