it's professional basketball. The phi mu is the best...so they're the boston celtics, who have 17 beautiful NBA championship banners hanging over the rafters in the new Boston Garden. They're like the Yankees, but basketball. But their rivals are the Los Angeles Lakers, who during a tumultuous span from 1962 to 1984, lost to the Celtics seven times and won zero. The reason was due to a man named Red Auerbach who made it fashionable to light up a cigar when it was clear the Celtics were going to take the fourth game and thus the series and league trophy. But in 1985, the Lakers finally, with Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James Worthy, beat Larry Bird's near-invincible Celtics then and in 1987. Then twenty years passed, and finally again, the Celtics and Lakers were resurrected because Danny Ainge, the stoic two-guard for the Celtics in the 80s, became the general manager and got Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to go with Paul Pierce. We're the Celtics, they're the Lakers. lol
