That's a Toughie. I assume he's at a different school, or else you could just go to some of these things together. It sounds like you didn't force him to skip events, so I am not sure he has the right to ask you to skip them. Not joining at all is the bigger problem. He went Greek. Presumably he's not giving up his letters this year, so not wanting you to rush seems a bit two-faced and controlling. Hope things work out for you!
