Some guys bring really good friends, some guys bring their friends with benefits, some guys bring their girlfriends, and some guys bring girls they found last minute either through friends he has in a sorority or on tinder. TBH, since you are going as a date, most guys will be expecting to hookup, unless told otherwise. It's kind of like a sorority formal - girls can bring whoever, whether he be a friend, boyfriend, or somewhere in between there. As a date, it's assumed you're willing to go home with him unless you tell him you're not down for that. Also, for frat formals, y'all share a bed so... But most guys aren't pushy. I mean in general, when guys get drunk they'll kind of insinuate they want to hookup but if sternly tell them no, they'll usually back off lol.
