Officially, sororities do not haze. Now I know I cannot speak on behalf of every single sorority here, but personally, my sorority does not haze. Technically, sororities and fraternities are not allowed to haze, obviously. Is there hazing within the fraternities? Obviously. Is there hazing within the sororities? I'm going to say probably not. The thing about sororities is that there are so many girls in just one pledge class that making sure everyone kept secrets of alleged hazing would be extremely hard. Girls talk... About everything... Especially to their mothers. If houses truly hazed, you'd assume it would be news by now?... But that's just my take. This year, about thirty girls dropped from Phi Mu... Which is an alarming amount of girls, considering they're a very highly sought after house during rush. Some say that it was just the drama and petty manners between the girls. Others say it was hazing. They claimed Phi Mu made girls sit on top of washing machines/dryers and actives would then circle any part of their body that jiggled. They also said actives would give each girl her own list of what she needed to change about her appearance... But keep in mind this is not for sure fact.
