I also want to add that alot of it has to do with the culture and social orders of the south. It's not racism and there is no race war occurring in the south. However, the sororities and fraternities at bama are "traditionally white" and because of alumnae, it tends to stay that way. It isn't intentional and they try to push for some diversity, but only so much can be done if no one is willing to take initiative
