No offense dear, but Alabama's recruitment is one of the most competitive in the country. Anyone who goes into southern or SEC rush(especially someone from out of state) cannot be picky nor should they be concerned about "top tier." Truth be told, most of the "top tier" houses consist of young women who grew up together, went to school together, their mamas and dads know one another and they have access to recommendation letters from some of the most influential alumnae of those sorority chapters. So get your recommendations in (at least 2 per chapter) and go in with an open mind. If you're too concerned with "top tier," it ain't gonna happen. You're going up against local girls who get the best recs from women who've known them their whole lives; girls who've been groomed for recruitment since birth. Go in with an open mind. Do NOT worry about "top tier."
