Here's the situation, Sigma Pi is an upper tier house that fluctuates between #5 and #7 on the rankings. They mix well with APhi, Theta, SDT, and AZD and have a cool patio (the beach). Great rep over the years and some really successful alumni. All things considered, this has to be your top choice. SAE used to be top tier (what AD or Sig Chi are now). They got kicked off for the awful death of one of their sophomores, but that was in 2011, so it's a different group of guys now. They're spending a ton of money lately, but considering they have multiple billionaire alumni that are active in the rebuild, they'll be able to keep this up. They're also trying to take a big PC (~40 dudes in the frat currently), so they're shooting for 60+ total guys after this rush. This is a good option if you want a big party frat experience. They've also mixed in big ways with upper mid and top sororities, so relations look promising when 1-on-1s start. Llenroc used to be upper tier (where DX is now) until they got caught for some really bad hazing. I would hope they've changed their pledging, but who knows. The house is pretty cool, definitely up there with Chi Psi and AD. I don't believe they've mixed yet, so this is clearly a huge disadvantage to Sigma Pi and SAE. Mixing will depend mostly on this current pledge class and what sorority girls they're friends with. I've heard their alumni are similar to SAE's, but they prefer formals over big ways. Either way, this is a good option, but a step below SAE given the mixing uncertainty.
