there are girls from my sorority who are struggling with mental health (as well as probably most houses, affiliations, just ppl in general), and your depression shouldn't be stigmatized during rush bc that would make houses hypocrites. from my personal experience: going through rush as a sister and talking to pnms, my other sisters and i didn't really care if a pnm aren't involved on campus yet. we ask girls what they do on campus mostly as a talking piece, similar to "what are your hobbies" or "where are you from". it's just an opportunity to be like "omg do u know this person too?" or "thats so cool i was thinking about joining that club too haha we have things in common!!!!" i've never heard of ppl in my sorority saying they're cutting a pnm bc they aren't in any clubs. it's honestly all about attitude. if you seem genuine and say that you're still exploring campus life but you wanna find friends, that's 1000000% normal and okay. now, not being part of clubs bc you find everything boring or you dont like any of the ppl you were in clubs with before, generally things that show you dont have a good attitude or would seem bxtchy, that would be another story.
