Here are some tips that also apply to rush in general: -Make a few close friends in the house you want to join and make sure that you don't piss any of the brothers off. -Handle your booze. You don't want to be the guy to throw up on a brother or be the guy who the brothers have to take to the hospital. -Go out on weekends and meet people, find out when open parties and rush events are and go to them. Hazing ranges from house to house. At most houses its an annoyance at most, if you're a good fit for the house it won't be too miserable because you'll actually want to join. Some houses do have pretty rough hazing, but even at the hardest hazing fraternities its not gonna come close to a state school level or like that stuff in the news about penn state. Also, don't ask a brother directly about hazing, it's a bad look for you and you're not going to get a straight answer.
