Seriously just because it is new doesn't mean a sorority starts on the bottom tier. Sometimes sororities end up being the right place for people who couldn't see themselves caring about status like zta, being uptight like adpi, or being a f$cking mess DT like axo. These girls want to be part of a classy sorority but they might be really beautiful or popular and they just feel more comfortable in a different sorority so therefore that sorority has a legitimate reason to say they could be top tier. Also some new sororities might have the strongest national backing which helps a lot. I think some lower tier sorority might know that they are solidified where they are and I understand that it could be disappointing to see a new sorority already be higher in the ladder but it is what it is. "Top tier" sororities feel threatened for similar reasons. Just because there could be a new sorority that would hypothetically be top-middle or lower top tier doesn't mean that the other sororities are not good too!!!
